Lyn lives near to Castle Cary and has handpicked two lovely halls as yoga studios in South Somerset both are in beautiful locations.  They have also been chosen because of their accessibility from Castle Cary and other locations such as Keinton Mandeville, Shepton Mallet, Evercreech, Ditcheat, Batcombe and other Somerset villages and hamlets.  So, if you are searching for yoga Castle Cary, Yoga Somerton or Yoga Bruton, search no more if you want accessible, gentle yoga that stretches, flexes and strengthens.

Lydford Parish Hall in Somerset is in a wonderful, peaceful location with free, easy parking close to the beautiful St Peters Church and a stunning spot on the river Brue.  Sometimes the door is opened to allow the sounds of birdsong into the room.  The location is easy from the A37 making it easily accessible from Lydford Crossroads, Shepton Mallet, Ditcheat, Somerton, other locations and the A303.

Bruton Community Hall is easily accessible from free on-street parking and is just a short riverside walk from the free public car park adjacent to the Godminster Cheese shop.  The hall is also next to the River Brue which can be enjoyed from its back patio area.  At times when the weather permits the door is thrown open to enjoy the babble, tinkle or rush of the river as it rolls by over the stoney riverbed. The location in central Bruton ensures convenience for any Bruton residents or those staying in Bruton holiday accommodation.  Bruton is convenient for South Brewham, North Brewham, Wyke Champflower, Lamyatt, Batcombe, Redlynch, Upton Noble, Shepton Montague and is a straightforward journey along the A359 from Queen Camel and North Cadbury.  Yoga classes in Bruton are particularly well placed if you are seeking yoga classes close to the Newt.

Of course, as mentioned both locations are handy for anyone in the Castle Cary area.  However, should there be sufficient interest a *waiting list will be started for classes actually in Castle Cary.  Also, if you are reading this and believe you have a small group who would benefit from slow, gentle, inspiring yoga in your Somerset village please let Lyn know.  She would like her unique yoga classes to benefit as many people as possible and is open to starting a class in any of the villages in the general areas discussed above.

With a BA (Hons) as well as two full yoga teacher qualifications Lyn enjoys learning and has undertaken many additional yoga courses including specifically yoga to help osteoporosis, Yin yoga, restorative yoga and an additional mindfulness course.  Lyn has many years of education and healthcare experience and other qualifications that support her yoga teaching.

The gentle yoga courses she now teaches are built around her own personal experience and a difficult recovery from breast cancer.  Lyn understands the cancer journey and the problems we face following operations and coping with debilitating chronic illness.  She brings her own experience of the difficulties of cancer recovery during the lockdowns together with her up to date training to her creation of carefully honed classes to help others.

Lyn’s next personal development course is on yoga to help mental health.

Although she has experience of the many different threads of yoga Lyn’s carefully devised yoga classes are based on slow, gentle Hatha Yoga, when the group are experienced enough and ready to do so brief, slow Vinyasa is included in the class.  The classes also incorporate Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga and each class ensures a mind body experience.  You might say the classes are a Hatha Yin Yoga fusion.  Whatever you choose to call it Lyn’s carefully devised classes are gentle yoga that nevertheless stretches your mind and body and strengthens the mind body heart connection.

Lyn also utilizes her chakra and crystal experience to bring chakra dedicated seven part chakra yoga courses to Somerset.
